Your child will keep their mind sharp and avoid summer slide by reading all summer long. Our exciting and engaging summer book club provides your child with an opportunity to enjoy reading adventures, track the minutes they read, and celebrate their reading accomplishments at the end of summer.
Outdoor Adventures at New Horizon Academy is a high-energy program which introduces your child to the fundamentals of health and well-being. Through fun games, songs, and positive reinforcement, your child will experience the joy of being active.

By the time they head off to kindergarten, they will have all of the skills necessary to succeed in school and life!
Gardening Adventures:From digging and planting to watering and weeding, your preschooler will enjoy the many opportunities for hands-on exploration in dirt as they participate in gardening adventures. Your preschooler will plan, plant, and tend their garden. They will observe, track, and study the growth of their fruits and vegetables to build their math and scientific skills. They will learn about healthy eating habits and will use the fruits and vegetables they planted to make different recipes. Your preschooler will have a blast on their gardening adventure.
Drip, Drop, Splash:Preschoolers love water! We will follow their interests to discover the importance of water and its many uses at school and at home, investigate how water changes, and learn about how water helps people and the environment. Through hands-on STEAM experiments, your preschooler will learn about how water changes from liquid to gas, liquid to solid, and solid to liquid; learn the importance of water conservation, and meet interesting people who use water in their daily lives. Your preschooler will enjoy exploring the wonderful world of water.
Get ready for an exciting ride as your preschooler hits the road on a summer adventure! In our “Roads to Discovery” program, your little one will explore the world of roads, vehicles, and travel through hands-on learning and play. From building their own roads with blocks to exploring traffic signs and signals, your child will enjoy a variety of activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Buckle up for a fun-filled, educational journey – your preschooler is in for an unforgettable ride!
School-agers need the support and encouragement of an understanding adult, and the school-age teachers at New Horizon Academy understand and celebrate your school-ager’s need for independence, adventure, and continued learning during the summer months.
Each day, you will receive updates through a mobile app which allows our teachers to share information as needed, send messages, and delight you with photos and videos. You are also welcome to use it to send your child’s teacher a message.
